God is committed to fulfilling his word and purposes for us, much more than we can ever want to fulfill them
We are humans, we have an inate desire to be in control, we don’t like being taken unawares, because it comes with some degree of vulnerability and uncertainty
We will rather want to have an idea of what’s going to happen next, and naturally this mindset sets us on a path of endless discovery.
I now realise why Corinthians 13:9 said, that our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture.
Because If we had the whole picture, we would have strategically taken God out of the picture of our lives and taken the full reigns of control
This is our constant life battle, it’s a battle of how much of God and how much of Us is permitted, we may not ask this question with our words, many times we reveal this in our conduct and also our subconscious heart postures
We want to help God a little more…
There are times when we feel like God is not really meeting up to our expectations, but we forget that our expectations are a sum total of our previous experiences, and you cannot expect what you don’t know,
We also forget that there is more to God than what our past experiences reveal, we may know this, but it’s not always translated from our head knowledge to physical reality, where this knowledge can then influence our daily choices.
I stumbled on Ephesians 3:20, and it said..
Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us
Dear friend,
Obedience & Companionship is always better than strife & struggle, allowing God to be a good God that he is eases the stress from us, when we deal from a place of a stable relationship with him, we enquire less, we seek less, yet we become more accurate, because an active relationship guarantees a higher level of accuracy in interpreting what is in his heart.
When we try to help God be God, we become pressured, when we allow him to be God, we become filled with peace
Sometimes we justify our desire for control in our self defined quest for accuracy
Funny enough, we should not seek accuracy, we should dwell in it, it should not be sought for a season, for an enquiry or for a decision, rather, we should perpetually dwell in accuracy
The place of accuracy is found in an active relationship that is not dependent on circumstances
Many times we want to know God’s will so we can take over from him, and run our lives
Not necessarily because we want to obey it, at least for some,
There is a subtle part of our mind that tells us that the will of God may be different from the path we are on and because we have been taught to seek his will always, we religiously run self defined checks to quieten our conscience, and not really for direction
But there is more..
There’s a joy that comes with discovering his intents after God has finished working, it’s beautiful…
we can Desire it!
You can stand in, you can walk in, you can arrive at the center of God’s will for your life, without dedicating a separate effort to fall in line again,
We really never had any business being out of line
For many, we are not living in active disobedience but we have become stuffed with so much untested knowledge that our lives have become a compendium of Do’s and Don’ts
And our list of Do’s and Don’ts are keeping us off track, our small mind trying to comprehend the ways of God according to your experiences
More than anything we desire to become, to attain or to possess, God wants us to be at peace, He never wants us agitated or pressured
He wants us to feel his hands on our shoulders and to be content that he will lead us
He’s the Lord, he will lead and guide, he never fails and his mouth does not lie
Remind yourself this:
Philippians 2:13
For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure
These are words in Gold, they free us from pressure,
God gives the purposes,
God give the desire,
God gives the will to do the desire,
God give the strength to do the desire,
God causes you to fulfill the desire according to and for his pleasure
Beloved, Rest in daddy’s arms, he’s got you covered
